2FM036 || Pizz & Glitz

Posted on Jul 12, 2018

With a whisk of woodwind and a spritz of pizz, a sprinkle of sparkle and a dash of dazzle, it’s time to roll out the red carpet and dust off the tux - this is 2FM036 Pizz & Glitz. This orchestral album comprises strings, woodwind, tuned percussion, harp, piano, pizzicato bass and a few other quirky surprises. Harking back to the days of palm court orchestras, tea dances and glamorous high society, these light-music-style tracks overflow with cheeky charm and elegant sophistication. “Curtain Up” pulls out all the stops for a grand entrance fit for Hollywood (or even Broadway), whereas “Gentle Promenade” is more suited for a Sunday afternoon stroll. “Rushing Roulette” has a fiery twist of drama, whereas “Whimsical Waltz” is the perfect backdrop to a silver-screen romance. For some quirky humour, “Rise and Shine” features plenty of tongue-in-cheek slapstick with a guest appearance from the slide whistle. This album will suit reality TV, sitcoms, advertising, comedy and family programming, as well as projects requiring a hint of vintage glamour. 60-, 30- and 10-second (sting) cutdowns are available, and all tracks were recorded in stems to enable further tailoring and editing.
