2FM040 Investigative Underscores is the darker, grittier and more intriguing sister album to 2FM033 Cyclic Underscores, comprising a selection of anxious, unnerving, motivational and sometimes surreal atmospheres. Throughout the album, our composers have used hypnotic tuned percussion loops layered with ominous piano, dark bass, eerie strings and sinister synth. Featured sounds include glitchy, tense string textures (“Evading the Truth”), crystal celeste (“Sparkling Motivation”) and soft, dark marimba (“Focussed Motivation”). These tracks will unobtrusively evoke anxious questions (“Incessant Anxiety”), mysterious investigations (“Questioning Evidence”), threatening situations (“Ominous Threat”) and suspicious circumstances (“Uneasy Suspicions”). With subtle atmospheres built on layers of sound, this album will sync easily with investigative programming, short online videos, politics, news, documentaries, and reality TV. All tracks are complete with a selection of versions, 60- and 30-second cutdowns and stings for off-the-shelf usage. Short, single-mood loops and comprehensive stems make for further seamless editing.
