2FM059 Christmas String Quartet features beautiful, intricate string quartet arrangements of traditional Christmas carols and holiday songs, ranging from the jolly and lively (“Joy to the World”, “Jingle Bells”, “Ding Dong Merrily on High”) to the soft and sentimental ("Silent Night", "Auld Lang Syne", "In the Bleak Midwinter"). This album makes use of the full capabilities of the string quartet, with sweeping melodies, delicate pizzicato and fiery tremolo, all recorded live for an authentic and vibrant sound. These tracks will be perfect as source music, or as underscores for Christmas TV and documentaries. 60-second, 30-second and sting cutdowns are available for all tracks. All tracks were arranged for string quartet by Daryl Griffith.
