2FM In The Studio - Guitars Galore

On a sweltering August day there's no better place to be than a cool dark studio! 2FM was recently invited to the recording session for Seb & Bradley's upcoming guitar album, where the two composers (who are also consummate axe-wielders) brought their pieces to life. Never ones to shy from a challenge, they decided early on in the composing process that every sound on the album would originate from live guitars. We heard everything from glassy harmonics to grungy strumming, ethereal acoustic melodies to rumbling driving bass: a whole myriad of captivating and entrancing sounds from these familiar instruments.

On the other side of the glass the engineers had a more up-tempo day, juggling guitars, mics and faders with seasoned finesse as Seb and Brad hopped between sounds and styles. More electronic wizardry is to come before the pieces truly start falling together as finished tracks, but we can certainly expect an immersive and diverse album with unusual twists a-plenty.

We want to thank Bradley and Seb for letting us in on their session, not to mention the fantastic team at Rosewood Studio in Redhill. The album is set for release in October and we can't wait to hear the results...
